Region: Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
Grape Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Rating: Decanter 91
Highlights / Critic Review:
Sourced exclusively from Te Mata estate's own vineyards, the estate wines represent the best qualities of their variety, vintage, and Hawke's Bay origin. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes:
Light gold. Aromas of tropical fruit, from guava to pineapple, ripe grapefruit, lime and passionfruit. On the palate, nectarine, white peach and a fine sea-salt edge that only adds to the wine's ripe, thirst-quenching character.
Best served with salads, seafood dishes, and lightly spiced Asian foods.
